Individual Teen Coaching: A Space to Find Their Way

Growing up is not always easy. Teenagers are working out who they are, where they fit in and what they want from life, often while dealing with expectations from school, family, friendships and the world around them.
Sometimes, a young person may seem perfectly fine on the outside but feel uncertain, overwhelmed or lacking in confidence. They may be struggling to make decisions, finding it difficult to manage change or simply unsure about what comes next.

This is where one-on-one coaching can help.
I offer individual coaching for teenagers aged 13 to 18, providing a supportive space where they can talk openly, reflect on what is happening in their lives and begin to understand themselves better.
My role is not to tell a teenager who they should be or make decisions for them. It is to ask questions, encourage them to look at situations from different perspectives and help them recognise their own strengths, choices and possibilities.
Coaching can be helpful when a young person wants to build confidence, develop resilience, take greater responsibility or work through a particular challenge. They do not need to have a major problem to benefit from having time and space to think things through.
Parents and guardians naturally want the best for their children, but sometimes young people benefit from having a conversation with someone outside their immediate family. Coaching can provide that opportunity while encouraging them to develop their own voice and sense of direction.
Every teenager is different, so the process is shaped around the individual and what they need. The aim is to help them feel more confident in themselves and more able to make considered choices as they move forward.
If you are a parent or teenager wondering whether coaching might be helpful, the first step is simply to start a conversation.
